Steve Bannon predicts ‘criminal charges’ for top officials in Biden FBI, DOJ

Millions of Americans have been frustrated over the past few years by the lack of accountability for wrongdoing at the highest levels of federal law enforcement, but according to former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, “criminal charges” may be on the horizon for some of the worst offenders inside the Biden administration, as Jon Dougherty writes at Conservative Brief.

The fiery commentator made that prediction on his highly-rated podcast Bannon’s War Room last week and said he expects the indictment of multiple top officials at the FBI as well as the Department of Justice.

Bannon says charges coming

The prognostication of legal jeopardy for certain Biden administration officials came in the wake of the first televised hearing held by the Democrat-led House committee probing the unrest of Jan. 6, 2021, a spectacle Bannon blasted for the misinformation and downright deceptions it yielded.

Suggesting that people at the top of the Biden administration will be unable to evade justice indefinitely, Bannon declared, “I think we’re going to get criminal charges against [FBI Director Christopher] Wray and [U.S. Attorney General Merrick] Garland and all of those other hacks over there.”

Implying that he is aware of attempts underway to demonstrate culpability among some of the highest-ranking officials at the aforementioned agencies, Bannon added, “They’re inundated with whistleblowers from the FBI. Patriots, hard-working patriots are blowing these guys up. Thousands of whistleblowers. Thousands. Let me underline that…on the maleficence and politicization of the America Gestapo, the FBI.”

Bannon went on, “I don’t care if the FBI doesn’t like it. You’re a Gestapo, you’re an American Gestapo. You’re going to be taken apart brick by brick.”

“Whether we need a federal agency like that, that’s for people to decide. But you are going to be deconstructed. Because the rot that you have, and we should have done it after 9/11, let’s be honest,” he concluded.

Dems’ desperate spectacle

One of the more incendiary assertions to come out of Thursday night’s televised hearing, perhaps one to which Bannon took particular exception, was Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) claim that then-President Donald Trump agreed with those who wanted to harm then-Vice President Mike Pence.

“Aware of the rioters’ chants to ‘hang Mike Pence,’ the president responded with this sentiment: ‘Maybe our supporters have the right idea. Mike Pence deserves it,’” said Cheney, without offering any evidence to back the claim, as the New York Post noted.

Trump himself stated on Friday via his Truth Social platform explicitly denying the allegation.

“I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, ‘Hang Mike Pence.’ This is either a made up story by somebody looking to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!” Trump insisted.

Though their theatrical, highly stage-managed television spectacle is evidence of the Democrats’ desperation to eliminate Trump from the national political stage once and for all, with Republicans poised for massive gains in the fall midterms and ready to turn the investigatory tables on the left, it is not at all far-fetched to think that Bannon’s expectation of indictments will indeed be borne out in spades.
