Steve Bannon predicts impeachment for Biden over border invasion

While President Joe Biden’s border immigration crisis has often been described as a policy failure, many Americans have come to regard it as a deliberate attack on the nation’s sovereignty that warrants impeachment.

In a recent episode of his War Room podcast, Trump ally Steve Bannon predicted that Biden and his “illegitimate regime” will finally be held accountable for the invasion once Republicans take back Congress in November, Conservative Brief reported.

Bannon predict Biden’s impeachment

Under Biden, illegal immigration is no longer being treated as a crime. Far from it, foreign nationals are being flown into the nation’s interior in secrecy, as Fox News reported.

Biden’s treacherous open borders agenda led a record-setting, demographic tidal wave of nearly 2 million people to storm the southern border at Biden’s invitation last year, Newsweek noted.

If it can be imagined, the crisis is expected to get worse this spring, with officials anticipating as many as 9,000 arrests per day. But Bannon predicted that Biden could soon face impeachment proceedings and possibly criminal charges for his outrageous actions.

“You have stood down ICE and you’ve stood down Border Patrol, and guess what? That’s the impeachment hearing I want to hear,” Bannon said.

“Preserve your documents because after impeachment, they’re going to put you up on criminal charges. Criminal charges for allowing this country to be invaded by your actions,” Bannon added.

“Illegitimate regime”

Bannon emphasized that November is about “one thing”: stopping Biden’s “illegitimate regime” and the unrelenting invasion it is encouraging.

“We’re not going to back down, so write it down. This November is about one thing: it’s impeaching Joe Biden to stop this madness and to stop this illegitimate regime from destroying our nation.”

Pressure to impeach Biden has grown as the faltering president’s support base evaporates, with a recent Rasmussen poll finding that nearly half of voters want to see him impeached, as the Washington Examiner noted.

Biden’s increasingly vulnerable political position has emboldened Republicans in the Senate such as Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Tom Cotton (AR) to float impeachment, a proposal that was once associated mostly with conservative House firebrands like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

With Democrats expected to lose badly in November’s elections, Republicans may well have an opportunity to follow through on their rhetoric. Will they?
