Hollywood actress Nicki Aycox, who starred in CW’s Supernatural series, has reportedly passed away at the age of 47, the Daily Wire reported.
Though no official cause of death has been reported, it was known that Aycox had been battling leukemia and receiving chemotherapy treatment for the past year and a half.
“Too young”
Variety reported that the death of Aycox on November 16 was shared the next day on social media by the actress’s sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky, and that sad announcement was further spread by a “Supernatural” fan group.
“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side,” Ceklosky wrote. “Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter and everyone who knew her loved her.”

Eric Kripke, the creator of the “Supernatural” series, also noted and mourned her passing, and tweeted, “Gutted to hear the great #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, ” passed away. Too young. She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.”

Aycox starred on CW’s Supernatural between 2006-2008 as a character named Meg Masters, a former human who had become the host of an unnamed demon.
In addition to Supernatural, Aycox also appeared in a few dozen other movies and TV series between 1996 and 2014, including recurring roles on shows like Providence, Ed, LAX, Over There, Cold Case, and Dark Blue. Her last credited appearance came in 2014 in the film Dead on Campus.
Leukemia most likely cause of death
As noted, there has been no word yet on an official cause of death, but Variety pointed out that Aycox had revealed on Instagram in March 2021 that she had been diagnosed with leukemia and was receiving chemotherapy treatment.
She had kept her fans and friends updated on her health battle on her account but hadn’t posted anything new since March of this year.
Aycox will undoubtedly be greatly missed by her family and those who knew and loved her personally or worked with and supported her as an entertainer.
