‘There’s no energy’: Eric Trump blasts Biden, Harris over lack of leadership

Eric Trump didn’t hold back in his recent assessment of how President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are handling — or mishandling — the nation’s most pressing issues now more than four months into their tenure in the White House.

According to Newsweek, Trump said in a recent interview with Newsmax that Biden and Harris are “lazy” and lack both the “motivation” and “the charisma” to accomplish what his father did as president, particularly with regard to the southern border.

“My father was on a plane every single day. He was literally going somewhere every single day and where are these two? Why don’t you ever hear from them?” Trump said, according to Newsweek.

“They’re not giving press conferences,” he added of Biden and Harris. “They’re not going out in the Rose Garden like my father was. They aren’t doing press conferences as they’re getting on Air Force One. They’re not traveling anywhere.”

“There’s no energy”

Trump also said it “seems like there’s a vacuum in Washington” with the two Democrats at the helm. “There’s no energy. There’s no speed. There’s no desire to actually fix these problems, and that’s depressing,” he told Newsmax.

Still, Trump conceded, the situation does present a prime opportunity for Americans to see firsthand how Democrats’ policies will affect them and their families.

“People are seeing the mess that these people are making of this country right now; they’re seeing how bad these policies are,” the former president’s son said, according to Newsweek. He went on:

As all of it unravels, these people who might not have liked a little mean tweet once in a while — or might not have liked somebody who was less PC from personality standpoint — are actually kind of recoiling and saying, “You know what, on second thought, that man was actually incredibly effective for this country versus what we have right now.”

It all spells good news for Republicans going into the 2022 midterm elections, Trump said.

“I think what it’s going to lead to in 2022 is going to be incredible. I think what it’s going to lead to in 2024 is going to be something very special. I don’t think it’s the last you’ve seen of [Donald] Trump to say the least,” Eric Trump added, hinting at a potential but still unconfirmed second presidential run by his father. “I really think we’re going to have decisive victories because of it.”

In other news…

Eric Trump is the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, which is currently the subject of a criminal investigation out of the New York state attorney general’s office.

According to NPR, it remains unclear whether Eric, Donald, or anyone else in the Trump family is being targeted by the probe. It was just revealed last week that the investigation had morphed into a criminal inquiry, a development former President Donald Trump called “a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of the United States.”

“There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime,” the 45th president added in a statement. “But, make no mistake, that is exactly what is happening here.”
