Those who believe President Joe Biden may not actually be the ones pulling the strings in Washington just got a tidbit of new evidence to bolster their theory.
The Daily Wire reports that Biden admitted at a press conference Thursday that he was provided with a “list” of apparently pre-selected reporters to call on for questions.
“They gave me a list”
The president was speaking to reporters in the East Room of the White House, where he addressed developing news about a series of bombings at the airport in Kabul that interrupted evacuation efforts that have been ongoing there for nearly two weeks since the Taliban took control of the nation.
After delivering his prepared remarks, Biden began the question and answer portion of the event.
“Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here,” he said, according to The Daily Wire. “The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell of NBC.”

Later in the press conference, the president actually chided a reporter for asking a question when they hadn’t been picked. As he closed out the presser, Biden reluctantly called on Fox News’ Peter Doocy, with whom he engaged in a testy back-and-forth about former President Donald Trump’s alleged role in the Afghanistan debacle.
Now that Biden seems to have confirmed that his team provides him with a list of pre-selected reporters to call on during press conferences, the question becomes whether he’s also given access to journalists’ inquiries ahead of time.
Biden even hinted as much during a presser last Friday. “Are you saying unequivocally that any American who wants to get to the airport is getting there and getting past the security barrier and to the planes where they want to go?” one reporter asked.
The president seemed to respond to the question he wanted the reporter to ask, rather than the one she actually voiced. “No, I thought the question was: How can they get through to the airport outside the airport?” Biden said, according to a White House transcript. “And the answer is: To the best of our knowledge, the Taliban checkpoints — they are letting through people showing American passports.
While defenders of Biden have asserted that past presidents took similar steps, The Daily Wire reports that former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany says this strategy was never practiced under President Trump.
As White House Press Secretary, I NEVER instructed President Trump to call on a pre-determined list of reporters.
President Trump could make decisions for himself, speak directly to the American people, and secure peace through strength… https://t.co/ARrRUCR7BB
