Tom Cotton calls for Merrick Garland to resign over failure to prosecute pro-abortion terrorism

Republican senator Tom Cotton (Ak.) is calling for Joe Biden’s partisan attorney general to resign over his failure to prosecute left-wing terrorists who have been terrorizing churches and pro-life centers.

In a sharp letter, Cotton called out Merrick Garland’s passive response to arson attacks and vandalism by pro-abortion extremists, Fox News reported.

Cotton calls for Garland’s resignation

Cotton’s letter listed more than a dozen attacks linked with the group Jane’s Revenge, which published a letter this week declaring “open season” on pro-life centers.

“We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack,” the group said.

Jane’s Revenge has claimed responsibility for firebombing pregnancy centers in Madison, Wisconsin, Gresham, Oregon, and Buffalo, New York, and vandalizing churches with messages like, “God loves abortion.”

Cotton called for Garland to start treating Jane’s Revenge like a terrorist group. Failing that, Garland should resign, Cotton said.

“What is the Department of Justice doing to protect Americans from these violent attacks? At a minimum, you should bring federal charges against the perpetrators, where appropriate, and investigate ‘Jane’s Revenge’ as a domestic terrorist organization,” Cotton said.

Two standards of justice

Garland has also refused to act against the pro-abortion “protesters” who have been gathering outside Supreme Court justices’ homes with the intent to intimidate the Court into reversing a leaked opinion overturning Roe V. Wade.

President Biden, who is Catholic, has endorsed the mob with a wink and a nod, conflating their intimidation tactics with “peaceful protest.”

Biden has also been tight-lipped about the man recently arrested for trying to murder Brett Kavanaugh, and hours after the arrest Biden warned of a “mini revolution” if Roe is overturned.

It appears that Biden has made the cynical calculation that there is no political payoff in checking violent extremists who share the Democratic party’s politics. Garland, who has made a big deal about combating “domestic extremism” since he was sworn in, seems to be following the same track as his boss.

Garland’s reluctance to go after pro-abortion terrorists is just the latest proof that Biden’s Justice Department has two standards of justice: one for allies of the regime, and another for its enemies.
