Top WWE wrestler’s son dies at 26

The Daily Wire reports that Tristen Nash, the son of the WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Kevin Nash, has died at the age of only 26.

Details, including the cause of this untimely death, have yet to be released.

“Very unfortunate news”

Professional wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp announced Tristen Nash’s death on Twitter Thursday.

“Very unfortunate news to share,” the tweet is captioned. “Sending love to the family of Tristen Nash.”

The accompanying statement reads, “on behalf of Kevin and Tamara Nash, I have to, unfortunately, report that their son Tristen Nash has tragically passed away at the age of 26.”

“Tristen recently started working on Kevin’s new podcast and the two enjoyed their time together,” the statement continues. “The Nash family asks if you could please respect their privacy during this time.”

“A great young man”

Kevin Nash has yet to speak about his son’s passing. But, Nash’s podcast co-host, Sean Oliver, has.

“I met a great young man this year named Tristen,” Oliver wrote. “He worked with me and his dad on a podcast we have, and proved to be smart, sweet, savvy, witty, and mature beyond his mere handful of years. There were big things coming for him, but it was not to be.”

“The unfairness of our short time on earth rears its ugly head again & we are rendered speechless,” Oliver continued. “To steal a heart so pure, full of potential, is cruelty beyond understanding. Won’t try. I have his last text to me: ‘Love you man.’ I read it 50 times in 2 days &, T, I’m gonna read it a lot more. #T.”

Second loss

Not all fathers and sons have a close relationship, but People reports that Kevin and Tristen Nash did. This is evidenced by messages in which the two can be seen expressing their love for each other, including one from Kevin Nash in which he said that Tristen was his “reason for living.”

Tristen Nash’s death is the second major loss that Kevin Nash has experienced this year.

Earlier this year, Kevin Nash lost fellow professional wrestler Scott Hall at the age of 63. Hall was reportedly one of Nash’s best friends.
