Former Fox Business personality Trish Regan is back … but not at Fox News.
Regan left her prior position at Fox Business in March following comments she made concerning the coronavirus pandemic. Specifically, she alleged that Democrats and liberal media figures were using the crisis as a way to remove President Trump from office.
“The chorus of hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him and only him for a virus that originated half way around the world,” Regan said on the March 9 episode of her show.
“This is yet another attempt to impeach the president, and sadly it seems they care very little for any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake,” the host continued.
Bloomberg News reported three days later that the show Regan hosted, “Trish Regan Primetime” was being put on hiatus due to concerns over the virus.
Regan addressed the development in a tweet, stating, “I want to let everyone know that “Trish Regan Primetime” is now on hiatus.”
“FBN has taken prudent steps to limit staffing levels and is prioritizing its coverage during market hours,” she went on. “I fully support this decision — we all must to do our part to keep our colleagues safe.”
Fox Business parted ways with Regan
Two weeks later, it was announced that Regan would no longer be working with the network. The Washington Examiner quoted a statement from Fox Business as saying at the time of her departure.
“Fox Business has parted ways with Trish Regan — we thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” it read.
The statement added, “We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
Before beginning at Fox Business, Regan was an anchor at Bloomberg TV and CNBC. Regan also directed and starred in the 2009 documentary Marijuana Inc: Inside America’s Pot Industry.
