We’re still a long way from the 2022 midterm elections, let alone 2024’s presidential election. But that’s not stopping several insiders familiar with former President Donald Trump’s thoughts from hyping up a potential run.
According to Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard, several key Trump insiders and associates have indicated that the 45th president is “getting stronger” and more than likely intends to toss his MAGA hat into the ring for the 2024 election, perhaps just in time to save America from the destruction caused by the current president.
What’s going on?
One unnamed Trump insider pointed to a resurgence in the former president’s millions fans across America already planting “Trump 2024” signs in their front yards, and the increasing hype on social media surrounding a potential Trump run in 2024.
“The energy is still out there,” the unnamed insider reportedly said. “They want him back for another run.”
If recent hints from former Trump spokesman Sean Spicer and former chief of staff Mark Meadows are true, it sounds as if Trump is ready and willing to fight for another chance to take the White House.
Some of Trump’s close associates warned that while the energy is good and the former president is pumped about 2024, his decision will largely hinge on the outcome of the 2022 midterms, when Trump’s “kingmaker” status will be put to the test, as Trump-endorsed GOP candidates across the country fight for victories.
“He’s getting stronger and stronger as each day passes,” another unnamed associate said. “The enthusiasm is not dwindling at all, it’s amazing.”
Preparing for a fight
Not only has Trump managed to amass a staggering campaign war chest valued at roughly $102 million, but the former president has also reportedly dropped some excess weight, which will surely give him the boost of energy needed to run a hard-fought campaign.
As the Examiner reported, many believe that President Joe Biden’s string of failures and the Democrats’ push toward a more radically progressive House are both helping Trump’s 2024 prospects.
“The more Biden fails, the better President Trump looks,” said pollster John McLaughlin.
Trump will be holding a “Save America” rally in Alabama later in August alongside former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, which, like every other Trump rally on the books, is expected to draw massive crowds.
Only time will tell if Trump goes all in, but as the situation in America continues to worsen under Biden and progressive Democrats, this country needs another shot of Trump’s leadership sooner than later.
