The president’s eldest son has issued a chilling warning: if Americans elect Joe Biden as president, it will really be Kamala Harris who is in charge of the country.
According to the Washington Examiner‘s Paul Bedard, Donald Trump Jr. said in an interview that the media is rooting for former Vice President Biden because they know the truth: “The media loves Joe Biden because they know that Kamala Harris will be in charge and she is left of [Vermont Sen.] Bernie [Sanders].”
It’s a message that Trump Jr. repeats in his new book, Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats’ Defense of the Indefensible, which was released earlier this month, according to Bedard.
“The media loves [Biden] because they can sell him as a moderate,” Trump Jr. said in the interview.
“Something is not right”
In both his recent interview and his new book, Trump Jr. called into question Biden’s fitness for office, and even went so far as to cite a former White House physician who served under the Obama administration on the matter.
“The best way I can describe him every time I see him is that he’s just lost,” Dr. Ronny Jackson, a retired Navy Rear Admiral who served under both former President Barack Obama as well as Trump, said in Trump Jr.’s book, according to the Examiner.
Jackson, who is now running for Congress in Texas, added: “I won’t make any particular diagnosis about dementia… But what I will say is that something is not right.”
Trump Jr. and Dr. Jackson aren’t alone in suspecting that Biden is suffering from some sort of cognitive decline. Bedard shared in his report the results of a new poll that showed a plurality of Americans feel similarly.
In a recent survey from the conservative-leaning Heritage Action for America, respondents were asked if they agreed or disagreed with the statement:
Some people say that Joe Biden suffers from some level of diminished mental capacity and because of this they fear that if he is elected president his administration will be staffed with very liberal socialists given to him by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the Democrat National Committee.
In agreement were 47% of respondents, including 41% who “strongly” agreed. By contrast, 45% of respondents disagreed, including 37% who “strongly” disagreed. Eight percent of those surveyed either didn’t know or couldn’t decide one way or the other.
“That should scare us”
Trump Jr., for his part, told the Examiner that Biden’s gaffes aren’t funny anymore — and should, at the very least, be taken more seriously by those in the media.
“It’d be a joke if this was a grandfather, you’d say, ‘Fine, he’s forgetful.’ This is a guy that’s a contender to hold the nuclear football,” Trump Jr. said, according to Bedard. “That should scare us as Americans.”
