Joe Biden is getting by with a little help from his friends in the media, Donald Trump Jr. complained.
According to Fox News, the president’s son exposed Sunday that his father’s rival benefits from the “liberal privilege” of having the media hide his weaknesses, including potential health issues and a radical agenda that has been falsely portrayed as “moderate” to voters.
“They don’t talk about Kamala”
In an interview with Fox News host Mark Levin that aired Sunday, Trump Jr. took sharp aim at the media for trying to market Biden as a moderate, disguising a reality that the longtime politician would likely not govern the country himself if elected in November.
The Democratic candidate is a mere “vessel to get you Kamala Harris” and an agenda that is more radical than it appears, Trump Jr. said, according to a transcript provided by Fox.
The president’s eldest son added: “They want to be able to go to living rooms in middle America and say, ‘Look, this is moderate Joe from Scranton.’ Guess what, guys? You’re not moderate Joe from Scranton.”
According to Trump Jr., what Democrats are “trying to do is say, hey, look at this guy, he is so great.”
“But they don’t talk about Kamala Harris as your VP,” the president’s son added, according to Fox. “You don’t choose her if you have a moderate agenda. She is the most left voting senator in the United States Senate.”
Biden gets a free pass
Don Jr.’s points echoed themes from last week’s Republican nominating convention, where speakers hammered Biden as a “puppet” of a radical left that has abandoned any belief in the sanctity of life and the rule of law. Speaking Sunday, the president’s eldest son insisted that Biden has the “liberal privilege” of being able to “lie” about his genuine platform and “flip flop.”
“I get to hear a lot about privilege, right? I’m the white son of a successful guy, I get it. I’ve been incredibly blessed to be an American in my family,” Trump Jr. said, according to Fox.
He continued: “But no one talks about liberal privilege, which is the ability to lie, to flip flop, to have a terrible record like Joe Biden, and then to be able to be pushed by the media, as though moderate — he is the guy to save America.”
In his interview, Trump Jr. also said that the media is giving Biden a pass on health concerns that they would treat as “disqualifying” if Biden and his father switched places.
“They would talk about it nonstop,” he told Levin, as Fox reported. “Every television psychologist would be on TV saying that it’s over.”
