Trump calls former House Speaker Paul Ryan a “weak RINO”

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan has frequently attacked former President Donald Trump and made headlines for doing it again last week. However, Trump demonstrated that he is more than happy to punch back.

Trump calls Ryan a “weak RINO”

According to CNN, the latest spat began when Ryan praised South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice for voting to impeach Trump while condemning those Republicans who refused to do so.

“There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who just didn’t have the guts to do it,” the cable news network quoted Ryan as saying.

“There are a lot of people who say they’re going to vote their conscience, they’re going to vote for the Constitution, they’re going to vote for their convictions but when it gets hard to do that they don’t do it,” he added.

Business Insider noted that those words provoked a sharp reaction from Trump, who condemned both Ryan and Fox News for keeping him on its board of directors.

“Did anyone notice that Fox News went lame (bad!) when weak RINO Paul Ryan, who is despised in the Great State of Wisconsin for being ‘a pathetic loser?” Trump asked in a post on Truth Social.

“That’s why our Country is going to HELL – Elections have consequences. Get Ryan off your Board and report the News as it should be reported. And stop taking negative ads from the perverts, and others!!!” he declared.

Although Trump did not say which “perverts” he was referring to, the comment may have been directed towards the anti-Trump Lincoln Project.

Fox News reported last year that Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver was accused of sexual harassment by multiple teenage boys.

Ryan: “Joe Biden and I have been friends for years”

Meanwhile, Breitbart reported last month that Ryan expressed disappointment in how Trump’s successor has governed.

“[L]ook, Joe Biden and I have been friends for years,” the website quoted Ryan as saying during an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

“I think people thought they were going to get a centrist in office, you know, a common ground guy,” Ryan continued, adding, “That’s not what he was. He gave the keys to the left, the progressives. They steered the country far-left.”
