For the second time in little more than a year, former President Donald Trump has survived a partisan impeachment effort that ended with his acquittal.
As he cheered the news in a video posted to social media, former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka suggested that his former boss is now unstoppable headed toward a presumptive political comeback run for the presidency in 2024.
“Roll on 2024”
“It’s over. They failed. Again. Donald Trump has been acquitted,” Gorka said. “Those who lied about him for four years have failed.” Watch:
Nothing can stop him now.

“They tried again and again and again. They lied about him in the media. They lied about him in Congress. And then they lied about him on the floor of the Senate for a second time,” he continued. “The first-ever trial for a non-president, a former president, and they lost.”
“MAGA is stronger than ever. Roll on 2024. They cannot stop Donald Trump now,” Gorka added. “Have faith, my friends. We will win, and we’re still winning. God bless.”
Trump speaks out following trial conclusion
There has been quite a bit of speculation about whether Trump would run for the presidency again in 2024, and while the former president has yet to definitively answer that question, he did seem to hint at it being a possibility in a statement released following the Senate trial.
“It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree,” Trump said in the statement.
“I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate,” he continued.
“This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country,” Trump added. “No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago.”
Trump hints at future plans
With an apparent nod toward the future, Trump said, “Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!” he continued.
“We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future,” Trump added. “Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish.”
