Trump responds to claim that he met with holocaust denier Nick Fuentes

Former President Donald Trump is now trying to distance himself from Nick Fuentes.

This comes after reports that Trump, at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Tuesday, dined with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes.

The reports are a rather obvious attempt at guilt by association considering who Fuentes and West are.

Fuentes is known for openly being a white supremacist and for being a Holocaust denier. And, West, recently, has made a number of antisemitic statements.

Trump responds

Trump on Friday explained the meetup with West and Fuentes on his social media site Truth Social.

There, Trump wrote:

This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about. We had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport.

Presumably one of West’s “friends,” whom Trump “knew nothing about,” was Fuentes.

Trump followed this message up with another one in which he went into a little more detail and clarified that he “didn’t know Nick Fuentes.

He wrote:

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was asking me for advice concerning some of his difficulties, in particular having to do with his business. We also discussed, to a lesser extent, politics, where I told him he should definitely not run for President, “any voters you may have should vote for TRUMP.” Anyway, we got along great, he expressed no anti-Semitism, & I appreciated all of the nice things he said about me on “Tucker Carlson.” Why wouldn’t I agree to meet? Also, I didn’t know Nick Fuentes.

It continues

Ever since Trump announced his 2024 campaign for the U.S. presidency, he has been facing increasing pressure from Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans. It would appear that this is part of the pressure campaign designed, no doubt, to undermine Trump’s presidential bid.

The good news for Trump is that the polls show that his supporters are sticking with him.

The truth of the matter, at this point, is that Trump has been victimized to such an extent that many are fed up with the constant attacks and are no longer listening.
