Former President Donald Trump has just responded to President Joe Biden’s anti-MAGA speech.
The Washington Times reports that Trump did so by suggesting that Biden’s speech proves that he is either “insane” or “suffering from late-stage dementia.”
“If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force,” Trump wrote.
“He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!” the former president added.
Biden made his highly-divisive anti-MAGA speech on Thursday.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic,” Biden said at one point during the speech. “MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of the law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election.”
Biden and his administration have been facing extreme criticism over the speech.
In response, Biden, on Friday, attempted to walk back some of what he said in the speech by saying, I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country.”
Biden went on to try to explain himself further, saying:
So I am not talking about anything other than it is inappropriate and it’s not only happening here but in other parts of the world, where there’s a failure to recognize and condemn violence whenever it’s used for political purposes, failure to condemn the manipulation of electoral outcomes. Failure to acknowledge when elections were won or lost.
“The Great MAGA-king” speaks
“Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote.
“If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!” Trump added.
