Trump wanted to go to war with Mexican cartels, but woke general overruled him

Mexico’s drug cartels are slowly killing America with an unprecedented volume of lethal fentanyl, and they’re doing it with the help of America’s negligent open borders president, Joe Biden. But it wasn’t long ago that Americans had a leader who put the nation and its interests first.

Before he was forced out of power in 2020, President Trump wanted to blow up Mexican drug labs with missiles, according to a new book by one of his woke generals, Mark Esper.

Trump wanted to strike drug cartels

Esper is the same subversive woke-ster who publicly refused Trump’s request to invoke the Insurrection Act to put down the “mostly peaceful” riots that terrorized Americans all through the summer of 2020.

Like so many before him, Esper is looking for his fifteen minutes with the anti-Trump media as he promotes a new tell-all book about his time as defense secretary. Excerpts from the book suggest that Esper is going for a Mark Milley-style “savior of democracy” shtick, and the media are eating it up.

In one excerpt, Esper says he balked at Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. “shoot missiles into Mexico to destroy the drug labs.”

Trump said that it could be done “quietly” and with plausible deniability of America’s responsibility, since the notoriously corrupt narco-state of Mexico doesn’t “don’t have control of their own country.”

Esper also admits to shooting down a “nonsense” proposal from Stephen Miller, Trump’s longtime adviser and an immigration hawk, to send 250,000 troops to the border to stop a caravan of immigrants.

America Last

It looks like Esper, like the rest of the globalist generals who run the defense establishment, was more concerned with policing other nations’ borders than America’s own. He would have fit in just fine with the Biden regime.

In another passage of the book, Esper calls Trump “an unprincipled person who, given his self-interest, should not be in the position of public service.”

Of course, the media are painting Trump’s desire to go to war with the cartels as crazy and unhinged — as if it’s totally sober policy to continuously pour billions of dollars in weaponry into a faraway conflict with no clear end game, as Joe Biden is now doing in Ukraine’s hot war with nuclear-armed Russia.

While Biden focuses on Ukraine and its borders, his open border policy at home is driving illegal immigration and overdose deaths to record highs.

Say what you want about Trump, but he never would have allowed this. Biden isn’t even pretending to care about the nation’s welfare, and voters are noticing.
