Thousands of President Donald Trump’s supporters flocked to Washington D.C. on Saturday to peacefully march in post-election solidarity with him in what has been dubbed the “Million MAGA March.”
The president had teased ahead of time that he might make an appearance at the event and he did indeed do exactly that Saturday morning, all smiles and waves as he made a pass through the boisterous crowd of supporters in his motorcade.
Trump makes his appearance
The gathering had been organized online and on social media over the past week with some organizers and attendees even arriving in the days ahead of the scheduled event in D.C., the Washington Examiner reported.
President Trump was obviously aware of the growing size of the planned show of support for his presidency and said in a tweet on Friday that he found it to be “heartwarming.” “I may even try to stop by and say hello,” he wrote.
As can be seen from a video posted by the official Twitter account for the event, he did just that, and smiled broadly and waved as his motorcade worked its way through the massive crowd that cheered his arrival and chanted “U.S.A.!” as he rode past.

Independent journalist Tracy Beanz was there and, in addition to posting a picture of the president smiling while giving a thumbs up to the crowd, tweeted, “President Trump just drove right by us outside — thumbs up all the way. It was INCREDIBLE. Already thousands of people gathering for the event! STAND UP FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY!”

Massive crowd
It remains unclear at this time exactly how many Trump supporters participated in the massive march in D.C., but top Trump aide Dan Scavino posted an aerial photograph that gave a sense of the size of the crowd that gathered in the main plaza.

Likewise, the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, also posted an aerial view of the crowd that helped display just how many of the president’s supporters had turned out for the event.
