Tucker Carlson just offered his take on President Joe Biden’s anti-MAGA speech.
In doing so, Carlson accused Biden and the Democrats of pursuing an “authoritarian revolution” that would result in a “one-party state” with a leftist dictator.
In case you missed it, Biden, flanked by two U.S. Marines, gave a speech on Thursday launching a direct attack on former President Donald Trump and supporters of Trump and his “Make America Great Again” agenda.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic,” Biden said.
Carlson’s live commentary
Carlson, during his primetime program, Tucker Carlson Tonight, commented upon Biden’s speech as he was giving it.
“The single greatest threat to America today is Republican voters, all 75 million of them. They are Nazis and destroyers of democracy. They must be stopped. That is the message of Joe Biden’s speech,” Carlson said.
Carlson, then, emphasized the fact that Biden’s “speech has the full sponsorship of the White House.”
“In other words, what Joe Biden is saying right now is the official position of the entire executive branch of the U.S. government,” Carlson said. “That would include the Justice Department, the various Intel agencies, and the world’s most powerful standing military.”
The Dems’ pursuit of a “one-party state”
Carlson continued by arguing that Biden, with his speech, is essentially “calling for . . . a one-party state” via an “authoritarian revolution.” Carlson suggested that Taylor Lorenz “is the ideological anchor of the Biden White House,” comparing her to Che Guevara.
Carlson, however, while painting a rather dark picture, here, did put forth an optimistic message, namely that the one-party state Biden and the Democrats are seeking won’t come to fruition.
Carlson said:
Even as you watch your beloved country take a turn you never imagined possible, there is reason for hope. American liberals may have obvious dictatorial ambitions. There’s no question they do. Only would-be dictators fear free speech and an armed population. But just because liberals long for a one-party state doesn’t mean they’re going to get one. They won’t. In the end, they don’t have the skills to pull that off. Liberals are too incompetent to overthrow democracy, and that’s obvious from history.
Carlson does appear to be right about what the Democrats are pursuing – namely an authoritarian regime. Let’s hope Carlson is also right that they won’t be able to pull it off.
