Tulsi Gabbard has long been known for bucking her party, and she hasn’t been shy about criticizing the Biden regime on a number of fronts.
In a pithy tweet, the former presidential candidate blasted Biden’s pledge to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court as a repeat of the same “identity politics” fixation that left the nation with a fatally unqualified “disaster” of a vice president in Kamala Harris.Â
Gabbard attacks
Despite being completely unfit for the role, Vice President Kamala Harris was chosen because of her race and gender, Gabbard said — warning that “identity politics is destroying our country.”
“Biden chose Harris as his VP because of the color of her skin and sex—not qualification. She’s been a disaster,” Gabbard said. “Now he promises to choose Supreme Court nominee on the same criteria. Identity politics is destroying our country.”

Back in 2019, Gabbard received national attention for dealing a near-fatal blow to Harris’ primary campaign on the debate stage. Harris’ bid eventually fizzled out before Biden chose her to be his running mate, apparently for completely arbitrary reasons that had nothing to do with her actual merits.
Since her rise to the vice presidency, Harris’ widely panned performance has shaken confidence in the Democratic Party’s hopes of defending the White House in 2024, with many already questioning whether Biden is too old to serve as president.
Lindsey Graham’s take
Apparently, though, Biden hasn’t learned from his mistakes. Still desperately pandering to the race-mongers in his base, the faltering president is doubling down on his baldly racist campaign promises to choose a Supreme Court justice based on skin color.
Oddly enough, Gabbard’s position on the matter is more conservative than that of many Republicans. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has offered a full-throated endorsement of Biden’s racially conscious plan to make the Supreme Court “look like America.”
“Put me in the camp of making sure that the court and other institutions look like America,” he said recently. “You know we make a real effort as Republicans to recruit women and people of color to make the party look more like America.”
Since leaving Congress, Gabbard has also been an outspoken critic of Biden’s post-Jan. 6 crackdowns on civil liberties, the Washington Examiner noted, and she has accused Democrats of pushing “anti-white racism” to divide the country.
While Gabbard’s criticism is certainly welcome, it’s not as if Biden kept his plans a secret from the public. The racial focus of his agenda was clear from his comments on the campaign trail, and yet, Gabbard still endorsed him. Why?
