Twitter has once again doubled down on squashing free speech and expression by suspending radio and podcast host Dave Rubin for tweeting about why the platform suspended prominent psychologist and social commentator Dr. Jordan Peterson.
Rubin released a statement about why he was suspended on Tuesday, which was then tweeted by others.

“I have been suspended by Twitter for posting a screenshot of Jordan Peterson’s tweet which got he himself suspended,” Rubin said.
“While it is unclear how I broke their terms of service, it is clear they are breaking their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders by letting a bunch of Woke activists run the company,” he continued. “I hope Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter goes through so he can blow up their servers and humanity can move past this pervasive, twisted, self-imposed mental institution.”
Rubin said his followers could go to his censorship-free site, rubinreport.locals.com to see his postings.
He said he would not be deleting the tweet which got him suspended.
The Peterson tweet
According to Rubin, the June 22 tweet that got Peterson suspended said the following: “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just got her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”
Conservatives had been pushing back on so-called pride month for weeks at that point, and Peterson’s views on transgender issues are well-known, but he committed a grave sin against wokeness in his tweet, Louder With Crowder pointed out: he “deadnamed” a transgender person (Ellen Page now goes by the name Elliot Page).
Elon Musk has not had much to say about the company he is in the process of acquiring in recent weeks, but he did weigh in on the suspensions.
Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions

Replying to another tweet about the Peterson suspension, Musk tweeted, “Yeah, they are going too far in squashing dissenting opinions.”
Or as Louder With Crowder said, “Utter absurdity.”
