Vice President Kamala Harris is hiring a new deputy chief of staff, in the latest shakeup to hit her troubled office.
It remains to be seen if Erin Wilson, a longtime Biden regime flunky who worked on the senile president’s 2020 campaign, will help Harris right the ship after an embarrassing start as vice president, the New York Post reports.
Harris hires new top aide
Wilson is replacing Michael Fuchs, who announced he was leaving in April. She will start on May 31. In an e-mail, Wilson said she looks “forward to continuing the work to build back better.”
Wilson was a national political director for Biden’s 2020 campaign and is now working in Biden’s Office of Political Strategy and Outreach.
In Wilson, Harris is getting a staffer with close ties to the Biden team — which Harris has reportedly clashed with behind the scenes.
Biden’s deputy chief of staff, Jen O’Malley Dillion, called Wilson a “key leader” in Biden’s team going back to the start of his White House run in 2019.
It’s hard to see that as much of an endorsement in light of what Biden has done to the country in little over a year, but Dillion credited Wilson with helping to “make the first 15 months of this Administration a success.”
Can Harris right the ship?
One wonders how long Wilson will last on Harris’s payroll. According to a recent book, Harris has annoyed the Biden team with petty complaints about feeling disrespected — even going out of her way to demand that staffers rise when she enters the room. Talk about insecurity.
Wilson’s hiring is just the latest staffing change in Harris’s office, which has been steadily losing top aides. The vice president has been described by insiders as a bully who needs constant validation.
“With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully, and it’s not really clear why,” a former staffer said.
On the national and international stages, Harris’ babbling, incoherent remarks, and awkward laughter, have made her a steady target for the Biden regime’s critics. The vice president’s deep unpopularity and incompetence have Democrats feeling anxious about their hold on the White House, especially as voters turn on a visibly feeble and inept president Biden.
It seems doubtful that hiring the right people will make Harris magically likable. The biggest problem facing Harris is…Kamala Harris. She’s an incompetent phony who is clearly out of her depth, as even she seems to understand on some level. It’s just sad.
