Is President Joe Biden trying to send Vice President Kamala Harris a message?
According to Breitbart, the vice president was introduced as “Heather Kurtenbach” during Biden’s big “infrastructure” ceremony on Monday.
As Harris took the podium, an announcer said, “Please welcome, Heather Kurtenbach!”
Kurtenbach, who is an ironworkers’ union rep, was standing to the side. Harris interjected, “in a moment,” prompting laughter from the crowd — as Harris, in an attempt to play it off, elicited her well-known grating laugh. Ouch.

The awkward moment came as speculation builds of fallout between Biden and his deeply unpopular vice president.
As the Daily Mail noted, the Harris camp is paranoid about getting elbowed out of the picture by Transporation Secretary Pete Buttigieg — who, like Harris, is an unlikeable political hack with an obvious lust for power — and they resent what they consider to be Biden’s favoritism to the openly gay ex-mayor.
The Harris team even suspects that Biden is trying to sabotage Harris with a cumbersome portfolio of assignments, like the border immigration crisis.
Less than a year into the Biden era, many, including Biden and his own staff, apparently, are not finding Harris terribly impressive. While many say that the Biden administration is out of touch, the White House is said to be irked by Harris’s incompetence and “awkward” laugh — so they can’t be all that clueless.
She is the most unpopular vice president in history, with a recent poll finding just 28% of voters like her. There have been some fanciful theories, including one that Biden may push her to the Supreme Court to wash his hands of her.
But the White House has continued to put on a united front, with Jen Psaki calling Harris a “key partner.” As rumors continue to swirl of Biden-Harris friction, there have been other moments that can only be described as plain weird, thanks in no small part to Biden’s odd behavior. At one point during Monday’s ceremony, Biden made an awkward sexual joke about Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff.
“No. I’m joking. These guys travel all over the country together. I’m getting worried, you know?” he said, referring to Emhoff and First Lady Jill Biden.
