‘We now have confirmation’: Judge Jeanine says IG report proves ‘Deep State’ exists

Jeanine Pirro said on the latest edition of her Fox News program Justice with Judge Jeanine that Justice Department Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s recently released report on alleged abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by the FBI in 2016 confirms the existence of a so-called “Deep State.”

“It was everything we said it was and everything they said it was not,” Pirro said during her show’s opening statement Saturday, according to Fox News. “We now have confirmation, corroboration that the Deep State exists, that it worked to spy on and frame a presidential candidate.”

Pirro also said it was the Deep State that “plant[ed] the seed” for Trump’s overthrow “in the ugliest, most corrupt attempted political coup in U.S. history.” The IG report showed that at least 17 “significant” errors were made in the FBI’s applications for FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign aide Carter Page over suspected ties to Russia, according to the Daily Caller.

Running red lights

Horowitz’s report didn’t chronicle any political bias in the spying that took place under then-FBI Director James Comey — but that could be because the scope of an inspector general’s investigation was extremely limited in scope.

Of course, those in the media have put out the narrative that there was no bias in the FISA applications because that fits their purposes and makes it look like the spying was justified. But just the fact that all 17 “inaccuracies and omissions” in the FBI’s warrant applications went against the president should tell us that bias did indeed exist.

As Pirro said, the Deep State was hard at work to get rid of Trump.

“The Comey FBI counterintelligence division believes they can investigate anyone based on what someone heard in a bar, and then run with it,” she lamented. “But these guys, they didn’t just run with it. They took every left turn and ran every red light in their effort to get their man.”

Demanding accountability

Pirro went on to slam the Deep State in her opening remarks, saying that the operation against Trump was “an outrage that demands the most severe consequence our criminal justice system has to offer.”

She also pointed out that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted this week that they have been working on impeachment for more than two years, even though it was only five months ago that the phone call that led to the impeachment probe took place.

Indeed, many congressional Democrats and others have been openly talking about impeaching Trump since 2017, including one of the lawyers for the so-called “whistleblower” who brought the initial complaint against Trump, according to Fox. It’s just too bad for them they couldn’t find anything actually impeachable and had to muster up charges against the president in hopes of achieving their goal.

The fact that Trump’s poll numbers have risen since the impeachment inquiry began shows that the American people know the Deep State exists, too. And they don’t like it any more than Judge Jeanine does.
