White House logs show regular visits from Hunter Biden’s business partner

President Joe Biden has long denied having anything to do with his son’s business activities. However, a report from the New York Post make those denials increasingly difficult to believe.

In an article published on Saturday, the paper cited Obama-era visitor logs showing that a man who has been described as Hunter Biden’s “closest business partner” regularly showed up at the White House as well as other official locations.

Nineteen visits in six years

Eric Schwerin made 19 recorded visits between 2009 and 2015, and they included a 2010 meeting in the West Wing with then Vice President Joe Biden.

At that time, Schwerin was serving as president of Rosemont Seneca Partners, a now-defunct investment fund with ties to China. Meanwhile, other White House visits by Schwerin involved meetings with high-level aides to both Joe and Jill Biden.

This is far from being the first time that evidence has emerged showing a link between the president and his son’s business.

In May of last year, Fox Business reported that emails obtained from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show that his father met with Ukrainian, Russian, and Kazakhstani business associates during a 2015 dinner.

President continues to insist that he “never spoke” with his son about business

Despite such revelations, President Biden continues to deny having any connection with his son’s business career, a message which was reiterated on April 5 by White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

The Post noted that when Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Psaki if the president stands by his claim that he “never spoke with his son about his overseas business dealings,” Psaki answered affirmatively.

Yet such insistence isn’t going over well with Republican lawmakers, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who is calling for an independent investigation.

“It’s increasingly obvious that Hunter Biden’s business revolved around providing access to his father and the highest levers of power,” Cruz told the Post, adding that the evidence “reeks of pay-to-play.”

“The clear solution is a Special Counsel investigation to fairly investigate the disturbing allegations of Biden family corruption,” Cruz went on to add.

Hunter Biden is facing a federal tax investigation and Republicans have pledged to conduct an investigation of their own should they take control of the House in this year’s midterm elections.
