White House moves Biden into isolation after testing positive again for COVID

President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID once again on Saturday, announcing his return to isolation.

The report came after Biden had tested negative twice after several days in isolation from the coronavirus.

“Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again,” Biden tweeted. “This happens with a small minority of folks.”

He added, “I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.”

Biden has been vaccinated and received two boosters. He has also reportedly been treated with Paxlovid.

The case shows that even the highest precautions are not always stopping the spread of the virus, even in the case of the president.
