White House official tweets out meme with Nazi symbol

Supporters of President Joe Biden and even some figures within his administration have taken the bizarre step of attempting to recast the president as “Dark Brandon,” an ominous figure with glowing eyes.

Yet as Fox News reported, critics say that a Dark Brandon meme tweeted out by White House press secretary Andrew Bates features the reichsadler, a symbol used in Nazi Germany.Β

Media hypocrisy?

Abigail Marone serves as a spokesperson for Missouri’s Republican Sen. Josh Hawley, and she responded by referencing how Biden previously boasted of having had good relationships with racist Democratic lawmakers early in his career.

“Personally, I’m not surprised that you’re tweeting out Nazi eagle imagery of your boss who reminisces about his segregationist ‘mentor,'” Fox News quoted Marone as saying in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Washington Times columnist and former Trump administration staffer Tim Murtaugh drew a contrast between the subdued media reaction to Bates’ tweet and the way mainstream media members accused the 2020 Trump campaign of using a Nazi-like eagle on its merchandise.

Chinese propaganda?

What’s more, conservative commentator Raheem J. Kassam pointed out in a National Pulse article that some of the Dark Brandon images have their roots in Chinese propaganda.

One Dark Brandon video features dialog from the 1984 film “The Terminator” and features an image of the president’s face alongside communist leaders with a caption that reads, “No more bourgeois malarkey.”

The video concludes with edited footage of Biden giving a speech in which he says, “To all those of you who voted for President Trump…There’s no way out.”
