“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you have a chance give me a call. Nothing urgent—I just wanted to talk with you,” Biden said in the 2018 voicemail. “I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to questions about the voicemail by stating, “I’m not going to talk about alleged materials on the laptop.”

The message certainly sounds like something worth investigating, but that seems like the last thing the White House wants to do.
The Biden administration instead plans to avoid issues related to Hunter Biden as much as possible, especially as the November midterm elections near.
