Within hours of horrific school shooting in Texas, Biden delivers divisive speech pushing for gun control

Within hours of a horrific mass shooting at a Texas elementary school, President Biden was doing what he does best: exploiting the nation’s wounds for partisan advantage.

In a spiteful, nasty speech Tuesday evening, Biden sought to hold his political opponents responsible for the carnage in Uvalde as he called for “common sense” gun laws.

Biden exploits Texas tragedy in nasty speech

As is typical of Biden, his short speech was moralizing, malicious, and deeply, deeply cynical. Within moments of quoting Scripture, Biden was on the attack — blaming the “gun lobby” and Republicans in Washington for the bloodshed at Robb Elementary.

The bodies of the victims not yet cold, Biden thundered, “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?  When in God’s name will we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

Biden’s opportunistic demagoguery received glowing press coverage, with many liberal media outlets praising his “emotional” comments. Nowhere in Biden’s rant did he condemn the evil man responsible for the carnage. His rage was directed squarely at the one half of the country that didn’t vote for him.

The irritable leader called it “sick” that Americans can buy “assault weapons” without the Democratic party’s permission and mocked gun owners as paranoid nutcases who are afraid of deer “running through the forest with Kevlar vests on.”

“What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for except to kill someone? Deer aren’t running through the forest with Kevlar vests on, for God’s sake. It’s just sick,” he said.

“Sick and tired” Biden targets Second Amendment

Declaring himself “sick and tired” of opposition that has prevented Democrats from passing gun control laws since the Obama years, Biden said that it’s time to “turn pain into action,” warning Republicans their “obstruction” will come with a price.

“I am sick and tired of it.  We have to act.  And don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on this carnage,” he said.

Biden seems to have learned something from his old boss, who unsuccessfully capitalized on the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting to push for “common sense” gun control, too.

In fact, Barack Obama came out of hiding Tuesday to help Biden stir up passion over the Texas shooting, which left 19 children dead, also blaming the “gun lobby” and Republicans rather than the twisted perpetrator.

While Democrats love to point at the “gun lobby,” it’s actually democracy, that thing Democrats are always hyperventilating about, that’s standing in their way. Millions of law-abiding American citizens justifiably fear being disenfranchised by the left’s gun agenda. That isn’t the fault of the “gun lobby,” but shameless political hacks like Biden who never stop looking for ways to make themselves more powerful at the people’s expense.
