Analyst: “China is configuring its military to kill Americans”

In the near future, China could become even more hostile to the United States than it already is, according to one China expert.

Fox News reports that Gordon Chang, the China analyst and the author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” believes that China is “configuring its military to kill Americans.”

“China is configuring its military to kill Americans,” Chang said on a recent edition of Fox’s “Bill Hemmer Reports.”

What’s going on?

Chang’s statement comes after a recent report from the Pentagon stating that China, over the next decade, is planning to double its stockpile of nuclear weapons. This stockpile includes missiles that can reach the United States.

According to Chang, “[President] Xi Jinping has been talking increasingly about this notion that China has a mandate of heaven to rule the world. They [beleive that they] not only have the right to do it, they have the obligation to do it.”

“He’s become very specific about this in public and so have his officials, which means that they are trying to change the international system, not to compete within it,” Chang said.

When these two pieces of information, that China is increasing its nuclear arsenal and that China is talking about some divine sanction to rule the world, are combined, a scary picture is certainly painted.

And, according to Chang, if China is going to try something, they are going to try it soon “because of the problems in the economy, in the environment, [and in] demography,” which are “closing the window of opportunity.”

Something that America can do

According to Chang, America, at the very least, ought to sever ties with China economically.

“We shouldn’t be enriching a hostile regime with our trade and with our investment,” Chang argued. “I believe that decoupling is what we absolutely have to do especially this year.”

Here, President Donald Trump would appear to agree with Chang, telling Fox News’ Steve Hilton on Sunday that he is considering decoupling the U.S. economy from China. The president also said that the U.S.-China trade deal that was signed back in January is “no longer the same to me” after what happened with China failing to properly handle the coronavirus.

Here, Trump appears to be on top of China policy, but we can’t forget that the presidential election is right around the corner and that Trump’s challenger, Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden, is nowhere near as tough on China as Trump. In Trumps’ words, “if he gets elected, China will own our country.” We can’t let that happen.
