Fauci: Americans will soon have to show proof of vaccination

Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor, just made another concerning prediction.

Breitbart reports Fuaci as predicting that Americans will soon have to demonstrate proof of vaccination to participate in many aspects of life.

It’s coming

Fauci made the prediction during the Bloomberg Buinessweek conference on Thursday.

“There are organizations, particularly universities and colleges who are saying, notwithstanding what the federal government is requiring, if you want to come into campus and be in in-person learning, you’re going to have to show proof of vaccination,” Fauci said.

Besides schools, Fauci opined that cruise ships and airlines are two other areas that are likely to require proof of vaccination.

“Cruise ships will likely be doing that. Airlines will likely be doing that,” Fauci said. “So, you’re going to have at, a local, independent-level, things that the federal government is not going to be mandating.”

Background

This all comes after the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) latest coronavirus guidance. What that guidance does is allow fully vaccinated people – people who have received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine at least two weeks ago – to now go about their lives without face masks and social distancing. Unvaccinated people, however, are supposed to continue taking these precautions.

Accordingly, President Biden has given Americans an ultimatum: get vaccinated or continue wearing facemasks. But, the problem that has arisen is in regard to the enforcement of this rule.

Fauci, himself, spoke about this problem during a recent appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.

“The problem and the issue is that we don’t have any way of knowing who is vaccinated and who’s not vaccinated,” Fauci said. He continued:

I think that’s where the confusion arises because there are some establishments who are saying, ‘Well, I’m going to have people coming into my establishment or my store or what have you. Some are going to be vaccinated, some are not. I’m not going to know the difference.’ Some might be infected and might actually have a risk of infecting someone else. And under those circumstances, it’s perfectly reasonable and understandable for the owner of that establishment to say, ‘You know, we’re going to keep the mask mandate up.’ And that’s what we’re seeing.

Requiring Americans to provide proof of vaccination is one way to address this problem. So far, it does not look as though the Biden administration is going to take any step in that direction.

But, businesses and schools might, and that is sure to lead to a legal battle.
