Mark Levin, the host of “Life, Liberty & Levin,” is warning Americans about the dangers that adherents of Marxism pose to America, Fox News reports.
Levin does so in a recently released book that he wrote called “American Marxism.” But, during a recent appearance on the Fox News Channel, Levin gave a little preview of that book.
During that Fox News appearance, Levin talked about two different groups of Marxists that can be found in American society. One of those, Levin referred to as the “people who do not take responsibility for their own lives.”
Levin explained that these people push Marxism so that “they can blame society” and so that “they can be viewed by themselves as victims, as oppressed.” For these people, Levin said, “there’s really no personal responsibility or personal accountability.
These people don’t “feel the need to contribute to society,” so Levin says that they focus on dragging others down, specifically “people who are happy” or “people who are productive.”
The other type of Marxists, according to Levin, who are commonly found in America are the “fanatics.” These, Levin said, are the people who desire power and who try to eliminate individual liberty.
“These are diabolical people,” Levin said. “And many of them are tenured professors other than our mouthpieces on television and radio.”
Levin went on to point out that, “despite all the examples of how horrendous and inhumane Marxism and its offshoots have been,” adherents continue to argue that the reason it hasn’t worked is that “it just wasn’t done the right way.”
It’s “pervasive in American society”
Levin goes into much more detail about the existence of Marxism in America in his book.
The billing of the book reads:
In American Marxism, Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture—from our schools, the press, and corporations, to Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the Biden presidency—and how it is often cloaked in deceptive labels like “progressivism,” “democratic socialism,” “social activism,” and more.
Levin writes in the book:
The counter-revolution to the American Revolution is in full force. And it can no longer be dismissed or ignored for it is devouring our society and culture, swirling around our everyday lives, and ubiquitous in our politics, schools, media, and entertainment.
Levin, in the book, offers ideas for addressing the problem. But, for many Americans, recognizing the problem is the first step. And, Levin’s book certainly helps with that.
