President Joe Biden and his administration claim that they have no plans to force Americans – who are not federal employees – to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. Recent actions and potential actions, however, would suggest otherwise.
Breitbart reports that the Biden White House is now considering whether or not to stop funding private entities that do not require coronavirus vaccination.
Using the power of the purse
This latest plan was first reported by the Washington Post.
According to the outlet, the private entities that the Biden administration could put financial pressure on could include “institutions as varied as long-term-care facilities, cruise ships, and universities.” All-in-all, the outlet said that it could impact millions of Americans.
The Post cited for this report “people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive conservations.” Make of that what you will. But, the White House did issue a statement on the matter to Fox News, which you can also judge for yourself.
“As we always are, the administration is discussing a host of different measures we can continue to boost vaccinations across the country,” the White House said. “Any reported ideas under consideration are in early conversations and pre-decisional. There are no imminent policy decisions as to preview at this time.”
It was Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Rochelle Walensky who recently stated, during an appearance on Fox News, that the administration is considering a vaccine mandate for Americans. After criticism, Walensky, though, took this statement back, saying, “there will be no nationwide mandate.”
And, indeed, this has been the Biden administration’s ostensible position.
On top of that, the Biden administration is working on a plan that would require all visitors to America to prove vaccination. And, now we have this idea of the Biden administration withholding money from private entities until they mandate vaccinations.
It’s pretty clear that the group of people that the Biden administration is not targeting is getting smaller and smaller.
Pretty soon, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki will be up at the podium claiming that the Biden administration is not mandating vaccines, while a majority of people are under some kind of vaccine mandate either directly or indirectly imposed by the Biden administration.
