One of the key questions this general election is “how will establishment Democrats vote?”
Breitbart reports that a group of six Democrat mayors from Minnesota have recently announced their endorsement of President Donald Trump.
What has Biden done?
The six mayors, all from the Iron Range, stated on Friday that, although Minnesota has long voted Democrat, it would not make any sense to continue this trend in November.
“Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades,” they wrote. “We have watched as our constituents’ jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country.”
And, Biden and the Democrats, according to these mayors, have done nothing to help the situation.
“By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class,” they said. “We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere.”
The mayors then contrasted Biden and the Democrats’ ineffectiveness with the effectiveness of the Trump administration. They pointed out that the Trump administration has cut taxes and has supported policies that have brought jobs back to the Iron Range.
There is more to the story . . .
. . . then just the fact that Biden and the Democrats have failed as representatives of the Iron Range.
The mayors also took issue with the way in which the Democratic party appears to have moved to the left.
“Today, we don’t recognize the Democratic Party,” the mayors wrote. “It has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that built their lives and supported their families here on the Range have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us.”
It seems to be the case, as demonstrated by these six mayors, that many establishment Democrats have been scared away from voting Democrat by the extremist policies supported by the likes of Biden’s running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).
This, alone, might end up being the deciding factor in the upcoming election. If establishment Democrats can’t find themselves voting for a Biden-Harris ticket, then they are either not going to vote or they are going to vote for someone other than Biden, and, both cases will lead to an easy Trump victory.
