Susan Rice will be in Joe Biden’s administration

Breitbart reports that, should Joe Biden go on to become the next U.S. president, he will nominate Susan Rice to be the director of the Domestic Policy Council.

“She’ll lead and coordinate my critical domestic policy agenda,” Biden said on Friday. “And she’s going to elevate and turbocharge and revitalize our domestic policy council to help us build back better on every issue across the board.”

Rice’s resume

It is no exaggeration to say that one can write a multi-volume book on Rice’s failures in government. They began back when she was part of the administration of President Bill Clinton.

On one well-known incident, she worked to keep the U.S. from stopping the Rwandan genocide, and, thereafter, she worked to cover up Clinton and his administration’s failure to intervene. On another occasion, Rice refused to cooperate with a Sudanese government that would have handed over Osama bin Laden. And, on still another occasion, Rice defended Clinton’s decision not to initially provide cheaper HIV/Aids drugs to Africa.

Rice’s failures only got worse about a decade later when she became part of the Obama administration. Probably the best-known incident here was Rice’s effort to cover up the Benghazi scandal. She was also instrumental in allowing Russia to seize Crimea and in the infamous Iran deal.

And, we all know about Rice’s role in undermining President Donald Trump during the early part of his presidency.

Biden knows no shame

Despite all of this, and this is only a very small portion of Rice’s failures, Biden, on Friday, insisted that Rice will be an “effective and tireless champion for all Americans.” He called Rice “a trusted and tested public servant” and a “friend.” And, he said that Rice will “align domestic policy, economic policy, and national security unlike ever before.”

“This is a big and critical role, and that’s why I asked Susan to serve,” Biden said. “She’s been there and she knows what it takes.”

Rice, in her own speech, said that she is “honored” to join Biden.

She also said that the “top priorities” will be ending the pandemic, revitalizing the economy, and fixing, in her words, the “broken immigration system.”

Rice is to get in through the back door

Surely, it is no coincidence that Biden has nominated Rice to a position that does not require her to go through a confirmation process. There is no way that Republicans – or anyone who cares about our country – would let her get anywhere near another government position.

As Breitbart’s Joel Pollak put it, “There is hardly anyone in America with a worse public record of failure, dishonesty, and conniving than Susan Rice. She has no place in the Biden administration — or any administration.”
