President Joe Biden just warned Americans in Afghanistan about the “extremely dangerous” conditions in the country and about the “high” likelihood of further terrorist attacks at the Kabul Airport. But, what some are wondering about is the likelihood of terrorist attacks taking place in America as a result of all of this.
Experts are now warning us that America, indeed, is more likely to witness a terrorist attack on home soil as a result of the Afghanistan situation.
The Washington Examiner just released a report in which it spoke with a former FBI special agent who tracked counterterrorism cases. This individual, Kenneth Gray, warned Americans that because of the Biden administration it is now easier for terrorists to gain access to America.
Gray, here, was specifically referring to reports that the Biden administration has been handing out blank visas to Americans trapped in Afghanistan. We know this because, David Fox, one of the trapped Americans, recently claimed that he and thousands of others received this identical piece of paper. It has no name and no serial number.
“When you provide blank visas without specific names already on them and without going through the vetting process, don’t be surprised when you end up with ISIS or al Qaeda showing up with those visas in hand,” Gray said.
In the remainder of the article, the Examiner quotes others who claim that, for various reasons, this threat is not as great as it might seem. But, it certainly doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility that a terrorist can use this blank visa to gain access to America.
Besides the blank passports, other reports have raised the possibility of terrorists gaining access to the western world via the evacuations that are being carried. And, still, others are raising the possibility that terrorists could enter through the unsecured southern border.
A “bigger problem”
Fox News, on the other hand, just released an article in which Retired Maj. Gen. Dana Pittard and others argued that the “bigger problem,” is not those terrorists who can potentially gain access to America via the blank passports or the southern border or however, but those terrorist or terrorist sympathizers already in the country.
“Yes, (we’re) always concerned with our border not being secure, but I think it’s a bigger problem radicalizing people who are already in our country,” Pittard said, “The idea that they would cross the border – they don’t have to.”
Pittard went on to explain that terrorist groups “can radicalize people already in our country – which they have shown that they can do, and well.”
So, according to the experts, with the Taliban back in charge of Afghanistan and with terrorist groups emboldened the threat of terrorist attacks in America has increased, meaning the world just became a much more dangerous place again, thanks to the Biden administration.
Let’s not forget that, upon taking over Afghanistan, the Taliban released thousands of Islamic State prisoners that were being held captive. The Pentagon has confirmed this. They, likely, would love to get some revenge.
