Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar faced condemnation earlier this week after video emerged of her saying that some Jewish students at Columbia University of being "pro-genocide."

The criticism wasn't just limited to Republicans, as a Florida Democrat recently took Omar and other members of the Squad to task over antisemitism.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz points to antisemitic chanting at protests

According to the New York Post, Rep. Jared Moskowitz accused the Minnesota congresswoman of "pouring gasoline" on a volatile situation.

"I got 10-year-old and seven-year-old Jewish children. I don't know if they're pro-genocide or anti-genocide. I guess I'll talk to them about that," Moskowitz was quoted as telling MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on Tuesday.

"I remember when Charlottesville happened [in 2017], it was universal condemnation," Moskowitz said, referring to a 2017 march by white nationalists in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"And the people who tried to ignore that or explain it away or say, 'It’s not everybody' — we condemned those people," he continued.

"But here, for some reason, when it’s 'Jews, go back to Poland,' 'Bomb Tel Aviv,' all of a sudden it's peaceful," the congressman complained.

Congressman says it "should be easy" to oppose antisemitism

Moskowitz made similar remarks when speaking to CNN host Jake Tapper, saying, "This should be a layup. This should be easy."

"It should be easy to say that we support people who want to protest, it's their First Amendment right. We support people who want to fight for the rights of Palestinians," Moskowitz stressed.

"We support the people who want to fight against the war--those are all protected by the First Amendment," he continued.

"But as soon as it goes into antisemitism, or go back to Poland, or bomb Tel Aviv, or kill all the Zionists, right, people should be saying, 'Hold on, that's not us--we don't want to be with that," Moskowitz added.

ADL head accuses Omar of committing "blood libel"

Omar was also admonished by Anti-Defamation League (ADL) CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, who included the video of her speaking in a social media post.

"It is patently false and a blood libel to suggest that ANY Jewish students are 'pro-genocide,'" Greenblatt wrote in his post.

"It is gaslighting to impute that Jewish people are somehow at fault for being harassed and menaced with signs and slogans literally calling for their own extermination," he declared.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
