Former Vice President Mike Pence has a new job.

Fox News reports that Pence has announced that he is going to teach at a Christian school located in Pennsylvania.

Fox reports:

Pence will be teaching a course at Grove City College, the school announced Thursday. Grove City College is a conservative Christian school located in Grove City, Pennsylvania.

The former vice president, specifically, will be the Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Faith & Public Life for the school’s new Center for Faith & Public Life. There, Pence will "explore and support the presence of Christian faith in public institutions."

"It was an honor"

Pence has released two separate but similar statements on the matter.

On his X account, Pence posted a message saying, "It was an honor to be on campus today and see President Paul McNulty and so many wonderful students!"

Along with the tweet, he also included pictures from the event.

Then, in a separate statement, Pence said:

Faith and engaging in public life are not mutually exclusive, nor should they ever be. History shows that Christians steadily working toward the common good have changed the world, and Grove City College opening a center shows they are committed to continuing this work.

This all comes after Pence's 2024 bid for the U.S. presidency fell apart. Actually, it would probably be more accurate to say that it never got off the ground, as Pence struggled to obtain any real support from the American people.

The latest on the Trump-Pence relationship

Trump and Pence have had an unusual relationship since the end of Trump's first term. They are not exactly enemies, but they are not friends either.

The latest back-and-forth between them came this past week after Trump made his abortion statement, expressing satisfaction with the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court has returned the controversial abortion issue back to the people and their state representatives.

Pence replied, "President Trump’s retreat on the Right to Life is a slap in the face to the millions of pro-life Americans who voted for him in 2016 and 2020."

Trump responded by calling Pence's record on the abortion issue into question.

"Former Vice President (thank you, President Trump!) Mike Pence has been doing a lot of talking about Abortion lately. He never felt I would be able to kill Roe v Wade and bring it back to the States where, according to all legal scholars, it belongs. He started at no abortion for any reason, and then allowing abortions for up to 6 weeks, then up to 15 weeks, and then, who knows?" Trump wrote.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
