Obama fundraiser switches to supporting Trump

In a move that has come to a surprise to many, a bigtime fundraiser for former President Barrack Obama has announced that she is switching teams.

Fox News reports Allison Huynh as revealing that she will be voting for former President Donald Trump this November.

Huynh, herself, has described it as her "divorce" from Obama and the Democratic Party.

The big question this November is how many other Democrats are also filing for divorce. We're less than five months from finding out.

Who is Allison Huynh?

As mentioned at the outset, she used to be a major fundraiser for Obama. Huynh, in fact, raised millions of dollars for Obama's 2008 campaign.

The New York Post reports:

Allison Huynh bought into Silicon Valley’s woke idealism. The co-creator of Willow Garage, a company that designed robotics and AI systems that were sold to Google, Huynh helped to raise millions of dollars for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. She and her husband at the time, early Google programmer Scott Hassan, helped organize elaborate fundraisers and dinners for tech bigwigs.

The outlet goes on to quote Huynh.

"My role was to bring in Silicon Valley people for the $50,000- and $100,000-per-plate dinners. [We] brought in [Google co-founders] Sergey [Brin], Larry [Page] and Eric [Schmidt]. Obama was a hopeful candidate who was outside of the system," Huynh said.

The Post then goes on to detail many of the extremely lucrative fundraisers that Huynh held for Obama. It also details how she, herself, made personal investments to help out the Democrats. Now, though, this is all history.

Huynh's "divorce"

Huynh recently told the Fox News Channel's Jesse Watters that she will be voting for Trump in the upcoming election. Watters asked her why she has decided to make this major change.

"Like any divorce, there’s not just one thing, there’s a series of things that led up to it," Huynh said.

She went on to explain her, in recent years, disillusionment from the Democratic Party, saying:

The Democrats were policing the wrong things. The things that we need to police are violent criminals that are scattered throughout the streets of San Francisco, people defecating, shooting up heroin in front of me and my kids, and allowing criminals to go in and steal from our grocery stores, shutting down grocery stores. I love to cook, and when I wake up in the morning, there are no grocery stores to go to.

Huynh went on to say, "You have to look at the facts and the reality."

There is no doubt that many Americans would agree with what Huynh had to say here.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
