U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) just lashed out at one of her fellow Democrats, U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).

She did so in a message that she posted to her social media account on Friday.

Take a look:

What's going on?

This exchange between Ocasio-Cortez and Fetterman follows an incident that occurred in the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday. Fox News reports:

A late-night House Oversight markup for a resolution to hold Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress devolved into a shouting match on Thursday, which involved several representatives, including Ocasio-Cortez, and Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas.

In a separate report, Fox detailed some of what was said. The outlet reports Crockett as asking Greene, "Do you know what we’re here for?" to which Greene replied, "I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading."

Ocasio-Cortez then got involved, saying, "I do have a point of order, and I would like to move to take down Ms. Greene’s words. That is absolutely unacceptable. How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person... move her words down."

Greene then asked Ocasio-Cortez whether her "feelings" were "hurt." Ocasio-Cortez replied, "Oh girl, baby girl! Don’t even play!"

This went on for some time. Eventually, Greene agreed to have her words taken down, but she refused to apologize.

Fetterman weighs in

Following this incident, Fetterman decided to give his take on the situation.

"In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show. Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show," the Pennsylvania Senator said.

Apparently, this was too much for Ocasio-Cortez to handle - perhaps, it hit too close to home - So, she decided to lash out at Fetterman.

She wrote:

I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a “both sides” issue. But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one. And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too. Enjoy your Friday.

You can't count on Ocasio-Cortez to do anything of use in Congress. But, you can certainly count on her for such cheap replies. That's why she's in Congress, isn't it?
