Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will soon share with the country her personal thoughts on being the first female speaker.

According to the Daily Mail, those thoughts will be reflected in a new memoir, "The Art of Power," to be published by Simon & Schuster on Aug. 6.

The memoir will reportedly chronicle her nearly four-decade-long stint in U.S. government, and it will touch on subjects such as becoming the first female speaker and her husband's attack in San Fransisco, among other subjects.

Social media users torched the 84-year-old lawmaker on social media upon the news of her upcoming memoir, with many asking if it will contain any hot stock tips—the same ones she and her husband have used to get filthy rich while holding public office.

Pelosi mocked

The former speaker has been the poster child for lawmakers who enter public office and suddenly perform better on the stock market than experienced, Wall Street veterans.

That was not lost on social media users upon learning about her upcoming memoir, with many asking if Pelosi would like to share any of those strategies that she's used to obtain insane amounts of wealth since taking office.

The Daily Mail noted:

According to Quiver Quantitive, a finance data firm that tracks congressional stock trading, Pelosi's net-worth has exploded in recent years. The group now estimates Pelosi is worth $190 million.

In 2024 alone, Pelosi has traded at least $3.9 million worth of stock, according to Quiver.

While other lawmakers -- from both sides -- have fallen under intense scrutiny for their extremely lucky market trades that always seem to go in their favor, Pelosi's market activity alone has spurred attempts at legislation that would essentially ban lawmakers from playing the market while holding office.

Not surprisingly, those bills never seem to make it out of committee for a vote. Shocker, right?

Many have claimed that Pelosi and other lawmakers have taken advantage of their insider knowledge in certain industries to make huge gains from the stock market, though they'll all deny such accusations until they're blue in the face.

Social media users react

"How many pages devoted to her insider trading and turning her $150k salary into a nine figure net worth via YOLO tech call options?" Craig Shapiro wrote on X.

Another X user wrote, "I was expecting a book giving away her secrets to insider trading and how to become a multi millionaire while working for the government your whole life."

That same theme carried on across social media.

Only time will tell if Pelosi manages to convince anyone outside of her district to read a book about her political life.
