'Squad' member's constituents want Biden gone
U.S. Rep. Cori Bush's (D-MO) constituents want President Joe Biden to drop out of the race for the U.S. presidency.
Yet, according to the Washington Free Beacon, Bush is refusing to comply with the will of her voters.
In fact, as we will see, she and some of her fellow far-left Congress members now appear to want Biden to stay in the race.
Just now: @RepCori says 100% of the calls to her office on the issue of whether President Biden should stay on the ticket are saying he should not run. Bush would not answer questions about if or when she would make her own decision. @SpectrumNewsSTL @SpectrumNewsDC pic.twitter.com/sq5zIhoo9v

"100% of the calls"
The above video is from a campaign event that Bush participated in on Friday. There, she accepted endorsements from labor groups.
In the process, she revealed to those in attendance what she has been hearing from her constituents with regard to whether or not they want Biden to be their 2024 presidential nominee. The answer, according to Bush, has been a resounding no.
"We are hearing from the community, but I will say right now, 100 percent of the phone calls into our office are asking me to ask the president to step out of the race," Bush said.
She added, "So, I am making it clear: If you have an opinion on it, please call our office, and let us know."
Suffice it to say that the sincerity of Bush's statement has been called into question given her recent actions.
"We got to beat back these right-wing influences"
The Beacon reports that it was just a few days before the above campaign event that Bush actually came to the defense of Biden.
On Tuesday, she told reporters, "Right now, the same right-wing influences that are trying to take me down are trying to take down President Biden. We got to beat back these right-wing influences."
It is a strange comment for several reasons, including that the push to replace Biden seems to largely be coming from Biden's fellow Democrats.
Bush was asked about her support of Biden again on Thursday during an interview with ABC News. There, she said that she "can't speak to" whether she believes that Biden ought to stay in the running or drop out. She said, "that’s up to the president."
Bush is facing an uphill reelection battle. It is looking more and more likely that she could be the second "squad" member to be eliminated from Congress. The first was U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY).
