Democratic lawmaker's staffer fired for disgusting Trump assassination posts
In the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, many anti-Trumpers showed just how evil they are with disgusting remarks.
Some of those remarks were along the lines of "How'd they miss?" or otherwise suggesting that they were disappointed that the shooter didn't end Trump's life.
The good news is that thanks to the power of social media, many of those deranged people, including a now-former staffer for a Democratic congressman from Mississippi, lost their jobs as a result of their repulsive disrespect.
According to the New York Post, Jacqueline Marsaw, a field director for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), found out that spewing such vile has consequences.
What happened?
Shortly after the reports of the shooting that nearly ended Trump's life during a Pennsylvania rally, Marsaw made a sickening social media post.
"I don’t condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don’t miss next time ooops that wasn’t me talking," her post read.
It sparked immediate backlash, and ultimately resulted in Thompson firing her and issuing a statement condemning her post, which was made in extremely poor taste, to say the least.

The NY Post noted:
Marsaw also wrote that the shooting — which killed one rally attendee and critically wounded two others — “couldn’t [have] happened to a nicer fellow,” though she insisted that it was a “staged” incident.
She took yet another jab at Trump, writing, "That’s what your hate speech got you!"
Thompson responds
The Mississippi Democrat presumably finally felt enough external pressure to take action against his employee, writing simply that he found out about the post and then terminated her.
"I was made aware of a post made by a staff member and she is no longer in my employment," Thompson wrote.
Several other high-profile social media accounts drew attention to others who posted similar messages, and many of them were ultimately fired or resigned as a result of their asinine posts.
The trend continued into Monday evening, with the famous X account "Libs of TikTok" dedicating several posts to calling out others who expressed disappointment that Trump wasn't murdered that day.
