Juan Merchan determined to enforce Trump conviction despite SCOTUS immunity ruling
As evidenced by the fact that Trump's case in neutral Florida was dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon, Donald was only convicted in his New York trials because his case was conducted by corrupt judges in a liberal hotbed.
Now, we have even more proof that Judge Juan Merchan was not calling things down the middle in Donald Trump's case. Alan Dershowitz, a respected attorney, recently gave some insight into Juan Merchan's gameplan for Donald Trump moving forward after the Supreme Court recently ruled that at least some of Trump's acts should be protected by presidential immunity.
Dershowitz is asserting that Judge Juan Merchan is going to "do everything in his power" to see that Donald Trump's convictions of business fraud are never reversed despite America's Supreme Court saying that Trump deserves immunity on at least some issues.
Once Donald Trump was granted immunity in early July, Juan Merchan pushed back Donald Trump's sentencing date.
What was the reason for this?
On the surface, if you believe that Merchan is playing fair, it looks as though he might just be taking his time to examine all angles of this complicated decision. However, some people are suggesting that Juan Merchan might have a much more sinister reason for pushing back Trump's sentencing:
Merchan wants time to figure out how to impose the most punishment possible.
Liberals in America probably would have preferred Trump to have never received the good news from the Supreme Court and be sentenced as soon as possible. It doesn't look like that's going to happen, however.
As a result, liberals are trying to make the most out of this time. One of the things that they're doing is scouring America's rules and regulations for any technicality they could possibly get Donald Trump on.
Dershowitz knows that Judge Merchan is doing absolutely everything he can to make sure that liberal America achieves its goal of disrupting Donald Trump's presidential campaign as much as possible.
Liberals don't actually care if Donald Trump ends up in jail or not, they're just willing to put him there because sitting in jail means he wouldn't be on the campaign trail.
It was a miracle that Alvin Bragg and Juan Merchan were ever able to get a jury to convict Donald Trump in the first place. The evidence in the case was almost nonexistent and the star witnesses for the prosecution weren't able to keep their stories straight.
Dershowitz reveals Merchan's strategy:
"The Supreme Court held in the last week of the term that you need unanimous jury verdicts in order to enhance punishment, in order to do what happened in this case," Dershowitz said, referencing the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision in Erlinger v. United States.
According to Newsweek, Erlinger v. United States established that "under the Fifth and Sixth Amendments, a jury had to find unanimously beyond a reasonable doubt on the facts used to justify imposing a sentencing enhancement."
"I think the New York case has to be reversed, and I think that’s why Judge Merchan will do everything in his power not to reverse the case, postpone the sentencing until September, to give him some time to perhaps come up with some justifications for not reversing," Dershowitz continued.
