Megyn Kelly calls out VP Harris for reported affair with ex-San Fran Mayor Willie Brown
Vice President Kamala Harris might have been thrilled to learn that President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, making her the most likely to take the Democratic Party's nomination.
But that joyous moment could be very short-lived now that the media and a mountain of longtime critics are digging up her past like never before.
One of the more unflattering tales of Harris' past includes her affair with powerful California Democrat Willie Brown, and according to the New York Post, podcast host Megyn Kelly believes it's fair game to pull out the vice president's dirty laundry.
Harris reportedly had an affair with Brown, the former San Fransisco mayor, when she was in her late 20's and he was at least 60.
What's going on?
The most suspect aspect of the reported affair is the fact that Harris was appointed to several powerful positions -- far above her experience level -- by Brown, raising all kinds of questions at the time, and to this day.
"I’m going there,” Kelly said in a recent airing of her SiriusXM podcast "The Megyn Kelly Show."
"First she slept with this guy Willie Brown who was this extremely popular, powerful Congressman out in California … and he put her in two different positions that she did not deserve when she was only 29 or 30 [and] he was 60," Kelly noted.
The NY Post noted:
Brown, who at the time was speaker of the California Assembly, and Harris dated when she was a prosecutor in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. The relationship began in 1994 and ended sometime the next year.
Brown was no stranger to giving his friends lucrative positions when he was in charge, including two handsome board positions that paid the twenty-something Harris quite well. Kelly provided details of just how well Harris was compensated at the time.
"She was making the equivalent of 130 grand a year by today’s money for meeting twice a month for these medical boards and another position for what she had zero qualifications," Kelly said.
Brown wants her in the White House
Brown recently told local media that he believes President Joe Biden should resign the presidency immediately and make Harris the president.
His reasoning is that he believes she stands a better shot at beating former President Donald Trump as a president as opposed to being a Democratic nominee.
"Her chances go up if he would at this moment say not only am I no longer the candidate, I’m no longer the president — she is," Brown told reporters.
There's no indication that Biden plans on resigning anytime soon, but crazier things have already happened, so who knows.
