President Joe Biden and many other high-profile Democrats have been quick to endorse Vice President Kamala for their party's nomination.

However, a new report suggests that former President Barack Obama isn't on board with Harris' candidacy.

"Obama knows she's just incompetent"

In an article published this week, the New York Post cited an unnamed source said to be close with the Biden family who claimed that Obama has doubts regarding Harris' viability.

"Obama's very upset because he knows she can't win," the anonymous figure was quoted as telling the newspaper on Wednesday.

"Obama knows she's just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her," the source continued.

"When you are running for president there are things you can and can't say," he or she stressed before adding, "Wait until the debate… She can’t debate. She’s going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine."

"She’s going to say something really stupid," the individual predicted. "Obama knew this was going to happen, Joe knew this was going to happen. Now she is going to have to answer real questions."

Obama said to be "furious" over Biden's embrace of Harris

The same source went on to assert that Obama is "furious" over Biden's embrace of the vice president "which is why he is not joining in the Democratic Party’s support of Harris."

Rather, Obama is purported to have wanted former astronaut and Arizona Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly to serve as nominee, believing him to be more electable.

A second Democratic source was critical of Obama, telling the Post that the former president has an "inability to see politics beyond his singular, immediate interests."

"Obama always thinks he is the smartest and coolest guy in the room. He’s friends with George Clooney, after all," the second source complained.

Poll and focus group both carry ominous signs for Harris

However, recent polling data appears to back up Obama's skepticism, with a Harris X/Forbes survey carried out between July 19 and July 21 giving former President Donald Trump a double-digit lead over the vice president.

Meanwhile, members of an NBC focus group made up of swing voters from Wisconsin were not warm to the idea of Harris becoming president.

Several participants pointed to her failure to control the border, with one woman dismissing Harris as "an idiot" who "hasn't done anything."
