It's been nearly two weeks since a 20-year-old shooter took a shot at former President Donald Trump during a Pennsylvania campaign rally, and many questions still remain.

According to Fox News, new bodycam video footage released that was taken atop the roof where the shooter was perched and eventually shot and killed shows mass confusion among responding law enforcement officers.

The footage reveals how chaotic the scene was after the shooter opened fire on Trump, striking his ear and then killing a Trump rallygoer.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) published the new bodycam footage on his X account this week.

What's going on?

The new footage shows various law enforcement officers asking questions and reacting to the shooting. The video contains the deceased body of the shooter, though it was blurred out.

The video footage was reportedly obtained from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit, according to reports.

The video includes a number of interactions and questions asked by responding police officers and Secret Service agents.

Fox News noted:

"Our guy that was just up here told me that there was a guy detained who is the owner of the bike." "I said ‘no, no that’s the owner of the bike,'" a man who appeared to be a Secret Service says while pointing at Crooks.

"Detain those guys. Find out who they know. Who they are. Whatever," one of the Secret Service agents said. "I'm trying to get clear information to relay back to D.C."

Social media reacts

Given the chaos of the situation and the near death of Donald Trump, social media users had plenty of reaction to the newly released bodycam footage.

"Well, first thing to notice is that it starts about 15 minutes after the shooting occurred," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "How's the gun so far away from the shooter?"

Clearly, many questions remain. Bipartisan investigative groups are now being formed to hopefully get to the bottom of what led up to the events of that fateful day. Only time will tell if the public ever gets the full truth.
