Former President Barack Obama has finally endorsed Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. 

Obama publicly made the endorsement, via his X account, on Friday.

This is despite reports that have suggested that Obama is not happy with Harris as the Democrats' presidential nominee.

"She'll make a fantastic President"

Obama, in the message that he posted to his X account, wrote, "Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support."

The former president added, "At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us."

In addition to this message, Obama also posted a video of Harris receiving a phone call from him, the phone call in which he allegedly told her that he would support her run for the presidency.

"Staged"?

Suffice it to say that many questions about the alleged phone call between Obama and Harris have been raised, including whether it is real.

One social media user wrote:

Border Czar Kamala Harris just released the fakest and cringiest endorsement video from Barack Obama. It’s completely unnatural and clearly staged. Just like the coup that ousted Joe Biden. Everything Democrats do is a lie.

Many agreed. The Telegraph reports:

Her campaign posted a video showing Harris holding an iPhone to her ear, although the phone’s display indicated she was on speakerphone with the former first couple. Harris appeared surprised in the video, which was shot using multiple camera angles, suggesting elaborate preparation. People on X, formerly Twitter, pointed out evidence that the video was staged, noting Harris was wearing a mic, suggesting it was scripted.

Obama and Harris' "History"

The Washington Free Beacon calls attention to some bad "history" that Harris and Obama have.

"The endorsement is notable because of the sexualized comments Obama made about Harris at a fundraiser in 2013, several years before the #MeToo movement exposed how arrogant men routinely belittle successful women by obsessing over their looks," the outlet reports.

It then quotes Obama as calling Harris "by far the best-looking attorney general in the country."

Obama is said to have apologized to Harris for the comment.
