VP Harris' ex-lover makes surprising admission

One of Vice President Kamala Harris's former lovers just made a surprising admission.

The admission, according to Politico, comes from Willie Brown.

For those unfamiliar with Brown, he was a major political figure in California.

In addition to this, he had an extramarital relationship with Harris in the 1990s. Some claim that Brown was instrumental in helping Harris to rise through the political ranks.

Brown's claim

What Brown told Politico is that he is worried that Harris has what he referred to as "the Hillary syndrome." The "Hillary" that he is referring to is Hillary Clinton.

Here is what Politico reports:

Brown worried out loud that Harris had “the Hillary syndrome” — that “people don’t like her” — and fretted it was not fixable. Thinking through Harris’s future if Biden were to lose, Brown said: “You need a Black woman on every goddamn corporate board in America!”

It ought to be noted that this particular interview took place before President Joe Biden dropped out of the running for the presidential election and before Harris took Biden's place. It even took place before Biden's poor debate performance.

It also ought to be noted that Brown probably knows what he is talking about here since he has been close with both Harris and the Clintons.

Politico reports, "Brown has known them [the Clintons] for decades, helping them raise millions in San Francisco as speaker and mayor, and sat next to Bill Clinton in June when the former president came to town to honor San Francisco’s other legendary Willie."

Does Harris have "the Hillary syndrome"?

Up until Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, it seemed to be the case that most people would have agreed with Brown that Harris does have "the Hillary syndrome." But, a remarkable transformation has occurred since then.

Fox, for example, reports:

Harris has also enjoyed a dramatic boost in the polls since becoming the presumptive presidential nominee. According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted a week after President Biden exited the race, her overall favorability rose from 35% to 43% compared to the week prior, while her unfavorability rating fell from 46% to 42%.

Other polls have reached similar conclusions.

Now, the big question is whether these polls are legitimate or not. Many are arguing, for example, that the results have been manufactured so as to make it appear as though Harris is more popular than she actually is to make it appear as though she has a better shot against former President Donald Trump.

Time will tell.
