Clinton family trying to get a role in a Harris administration
It appears that members of Hillary and Bill Clinton's family are trying to position themselves for a role in a potential Kamala Harris administration.
This is according to a new report from the New York Post.
The report is titled, Chelsea Clinton angling for ambassadorship if Kamala Harris wins election: sources.
The 44-year-old Chelsea Clinton, of course, is the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton. She is their only child.
The details
The reader may remember that, shortly after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election, the Clintons - Bill and Hillary - came out and endorsed Harris for the presidency. According to the Post's sources, this was no coincidence.
"Chelsea really wants to be the ambassador to the UK. There’s a reason why Bill and Hillary came out in the first five minutes to support Kamala’s presidential bid — they were currying favor," the source said.
The anonymous source also claimed that the Clintons have been "working on this idea for a long time."
Another source told the outlet that Chelsea Clinton would be "open to ambassadorships in other countries" as well.
Another question altogether is whether Harris would be on board with giving Chelsea Clinton such a position in her administration. At least one of the sources whom the Post spoke with, suggested that it is unlikely to happen.
More Harris-Clinton connections
The Washington Examiner recently did a profile on Harris' "inner circle," which, according to the outlet "she has hand-picked" to help her win the upcoming presidential election against Trump.
The "inner circle" includes multiple individuals with ties to the Clintons. This includes Lorraine Voles, Minyon Moore, and Donna Brazile.
Lorraine Voles, for example, has been chosen to be Harri's chief of staff. The Examiner reports, "She's a White House veteran, having worked under former President Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore, and then-Sen. Hillary Clinton."
Regarding Minyon Moore, the Examiner reports:
Moore has power within the party as the Democratic National Convention Committee's chairwoman, and she worked under Bill Clinton as his White House director of political affairs and his director of the Office of Public Liaison. She also played a key role in Hillary Clinton's 2008 and 2016 presidential campaigns.
So, whether or not Chelsea gets a position in the Harris administration - should such an administration come to pass - it appears that Harris has already begun aligning herself with Clinton associates. Harris has also teamed up with Obama associates.
