More details

The dog, Rocky, is a Pomeranian, and he has been with the Osbourne family for the past 15 years.

The Daily Express reports that "the Osbourne family, including Sharon [Ozzy's wife], is well-known for their love of canine friends, often featuring them on their shows and at home."

Fans of the Osbourne's have responded to the family's post with supportive messages.

One, for example, wrote, "I’m so sorry for your loss. Rocky truly was so special to you. Loved watching him on tv and World Detour. Losing a pet is so hard." Another wrote, "This is so sad. I’m so sorry Ozzy loosing a pet is one of the worst pains in the world."

It is likely that any pet owner can relate.

Background

Osbourne, according to The Mirror, has been trying to get his health in order.

Per the outlet:

Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003 and had his fourth spinal surgery in September 2023. Since then he has been working on his health and mobility. The BBC is making a 10-part reality series about the music icon and wife Sharon, called Home to Roost but it hit a stumbling block.

The Osbourne's, of course, are well know for their reality television shows. This one, however, has run into some problems.

The Mirror continues:

It is meant to follow the showbiz pair as they leave LA to start a new life back in England. But despite the show being announced two years ago, Ozzy, 75, has still not made the move to Buckinghamshire. Sharon, 71, told US podcast Howie Mandel Does Stuff she is still trying to persuade him. She said: “I wanted to reverse it; to spend more time in England and come here (to LA) and visit, like on birthdays, holidays and stuff like that. And I have been trying to get Ozzy to get out of the house and come to England. I am still trying.”

We'll have to see if Sharon gets her way.
